What To Bring

We encourage patients to bring:

  • 2-3 sets of clothes
  • 3 pairs of undergarments
  • 2 pairs of sleeping clothes
  • Sports bras only (no padding or metal)

Laundry facilities are located on each unit to ensure patients have clean clothes.

Parents/ Legal Guardians: Please come prepared with guardianship paperwork if applicable (in cases of adoption, divorce, etc.) for the admission process.

What Not To Bring

All of our rules and guidelines are to create a safe environment for everyone in our facility.  This includes not allowing certain items on the units.  Please see the list below of restricted items:

  • Any hygiene products, as these will be provided by the hospital
  • Belts, scarves, shoe laces, jackets with zippers, drawstrings, spiked wristbands or any other similar items
  • Electronic devices of any type
  • Items with a cord
  • Glass of any kind including mirrors
  • Outside food or beverages
  • Tobacco products, E-cigarettes, lighters, matches
  • Sharp objects (such as scissors, nail files, tin cans, needles, tweezers, razors, picture frames, tacks, pins, paper clips, hair pins, hair barrettes, etc.)
  • Toys, games, stuffed animals
  • Linens of any kind – Pillows, blankets and towels will be provided
  • Pens, pencils, markers, spiral bound notebooks, hard cover books
  • Piercings, spacer and jewelry (Wedding band allowed with signed waiver)
  • Provocative clothing such as short shorts or skirts (no shorter than 4” above the knee), midriff shirts, low cut or see through shirts, tights, leggings, skinny jeans or jeans with holes
  • Clothing depicting sex, violence, drugs, alcohol, death, demonic themes nor reflective of gang affiliation
  • Saggy or baggy pants that reveal undergarments
  • Bras with metal, removable padding or underwire
  • Clip in hair extensions
