Assessments

Starting the Assessment and Referral Process

The first step of the healing journey is letting someone know you need help. Perimeter is here to make this step as easy as possible.

Our process begins with a detailed assessment performed by one of our trained professionals. We will gather some information about you and develop a personalized plan of treatment. When you call our assessment and referral team, we will ask you a few questions to schedule a face-to-face appointment. During an in-person assessment, a mental health professional will continue to gather more information with a thorough evaluation including history, current medication, prior treatment, etc. This will help us make a recommendation about the best course of treatment for your unique situation which may be inpatient, outpatient or another treatment option.

If you are a behavioral health professional looking to set up a direct referral, you can fill out our “professional referral form” to help expedite the admissions process.

We are Here to Help

When you reach out to us, we will walk you through the process, answer your questions and help you take that first step. It all begins with a free, confidential assessment by calling 817.662.6342. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help determine the best course of treatment for you or someone you love.

Tele-Assessments

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington provides tele-assessments for our patients and families in our community who may have a difficult time getting to the facility for a face to face evaluation. A licensed professional counselor will video conference through a secured platform with the child and parent/guardian in a safe and secure location. Our clinician will perform a level of care assessment and make a recommendation for treatment. Often these assessments are for suicidal, homicidal or for aggressive behaviors. If inpatient hospitalization is recommended, transportation to the facility will be arranged. To request a tele-assessment, please contact our assessment and referral department at 817.662.6342.
